Many Thanks, Kayla I love this scarf! It is so quick and easy to make. It is great to sell at festivals and other vendor opportunities! I also love to make these for contest giveaways since they work up so quickly. The free Pattern for the hat photographed can be found here: http://www.ravelry.com/patterns/library/simple-and-sleek-slouch-hat Pattern Notes: -gauge is not important - make sure to count the first few rows because it's easy to lose the end stitch. Materials -Q 15 mm hook and K 6.5 mm hook -1 skein of worsted weight yarn. For this I used red heart super saver in "Real Teal" -Yarn needle -Scissors With your Q Hook Ch. 22 Row 1: Sc in the 2nd chain from the hook and cross. Ch 1 and turn. Row 2: Sc across. Ch 1 and turn. Repeat row 2 until the piece measures approximately 66 inches or until you get a desired length. Do not cut the yarn. Once you get your desired length, fold it so that the working end and the chain end are lined up. Switch to your K hook. SC the 2 ends together or use any joining method you'd like. Turn the scarf inside out. That's it! It doesn't get any easier than that! I hope this tutorial helps make your lonely hats into quick, beautiful sets!! If you have any questions. Many Thanks, Kayla Guys you cannot buy pompoms this luxurious.. maybe on Etsy but my point is homemade is the way to go.. as a crafter, that is my philosophy for most things.. If you're a crocheter and want the FREE pattern for this hat, you can get it by following this link: http://www.ravelry.com/patterns/library/la-vie-en-rose-earflap-hat Now, I've bought A LOT of faux fur pompoms but I had to stop using them because of the weight alone! They are heavy! When I attach them to my hats, they bob around instead of being a nice secure pompom! Do not be intimated, this is so easy you won't believe it! They take 7-10 minutes and they are a fraction of the cost! Materials: Craft Fur (I got mine from Hobby Lobby for $2.99) A large sewing needle A strong thread Scissors Polyfill/fiberfill Sharpie A Circle template for tracing. I used an old CD! Step 1: Lay out your fur with the fur face down Step 2: Trace around the CD or circle template. I used a Sharpie. Step 3: Cut it out. Step 4: With the needle and thread do a simple stitch around the edge. I'm no seamstress guys! Step 5: Start to pull the circle closed and add a little polyfill. Step 6: Pull it tight and tie a triple knot. Attach to hat! It's that simple guys! ... and that's it guys! Easy peasy, right? I hope this tutorial is helpful and I can't wait to see your furry pompoms!! Let's keep in touch! I'd love to see photos of the finished project! Many Thanks, Kayla I'm so excited to jumpstart 2017 with this blog and an amazing simple, gorgeous, beginner pattern! I know there are probably several that are similar to this but since I winged this from a photo I saw of a knitted hat in a magazine, I wanted to share it with you guys. Now, I am no professional blogger and I have very little pattern writing experience but I am confident that this is simple enough that I can't screw it up too badly.. at least, I hope! That being said, this hasn't been tested and if you find any errors, please contact me directly. I'll be happy to update it promptly. Let's jump right in with the materials you will need: Hook: J 6.00mm hook Yarn: 200 yards of any worsted weight.
