Kayla's Kitty Cat Hat Like most of you, I got requests for several of these hats. I couldn't find a pattern I liked so this is what I came up with.. I mean, who doesn't love cats? Materials: J 6.00 mm hook 3 strands of worsted weight yarn (video tutorial on how to use one skein to accomplish this) or super bulky Yarn needle Scissors Measuring tape Video tutorial for getting 3 strands from one skein: https://m.youtube.com/watch?v=tieArIwQ9Vk&feature=youtu.be Abbreviations: Sl St: slip stitch SC: single crochet HDC: half double crochet BLO: back loop only CH: chain Pattern Notes: -This pattern is worked from the bottom up -It is worked as a square top and sewn together -This pattern has not been tested. If you see any errors please let me know and I will update it promptly. -This pattern is written in Adult (Teen, Child, Toddler) Ribbed band: With your three strands: Make a chain of 6 (6, 5, 5) Row 1: Sc in the second chain from the hook and across. Ch 1 and turn Row 2: SC in the BLO of every stitch across. Ch 1 and turn Repeat Row 2 until your band measures approximately 18, (17, 16, 15) inches. Fold your band in half so the working side is lined up with the chain side. Sl st two ends together and turn inside out and Ch 1 Now the side of the band will become the working side and you will be working in rounds. Round 1: sc in each stitch across. Sl st into the first stitch and ch 1 Round 2: HDC in each stitch across. Sl St into the first stitch and ch 1. Repeat round 2 until your whole hat (including the brim) measures approximately 7 (6.25, 6, 5.75) inches You can easily adjust the height by adding and removing rows of HDC Then do a final row of SC. Final measurements should be 7.5 (6.75, 6.5, 6.25) inches Finish off. Lay the hat flat and sew the top closed. Weave yarn in and out of the top corners about 2 inches from the tip (see photos) and pull to "pinch" in slightly to make "ears". Tie off. Weave in all ends. Let's keep in touch! I'd love to see photos of the finished project!

You have this as chunky weight, is there any adjustments needed for plain old worsted weight (4) ??

I believe she said 3 strands together for regular worsted weight.
